The National association of Kwara state students presents a revived Competition to Foster, Celebrate and Compensate astute Writers and psychedelic Orators among Students from Kwara State.

The competition will happen in phases, the preliminary stage of the contest will be in form of an ESSAY WRITING. Every entries will be received from intending participants who are Kwarans across all tertiary institutions in Nigeria and Diaspora.

Following the submission of entries, a panel of experts will scrutinize all entries and the best ten (10) shall qualify for the finals – a (DEBATE AND ORATORY CONTEST) which shall hold at a date to be communicated with qualified participants.

Submission Guidelines

• The essay should be written in English and the Essay must not be more than 500 words in length, excluding references.
• The essay must be an original work of the entrant (written by the entrant) and must not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, intellectual property of any person or entity.
• The style of referencing must be MLA and this must be used consistently throughout the essay.
• The list of references shall include all cited texts used in the essay.
• Submitted essays must not have been published elsewhere either before the contest or concurrently.
• The essay must have a cover page with the title of the work, the author’s name, phone number and email address, Name of the College/University with the address.
• Every subsequent page must carry a page number but NOT the author’s name.
• Each participant shall submit only one essay. There shall be no revisions. The essays received are final copies.
• Essays must be submitted in Microsoft Word doc format, Times New Roman, Font 12, Double spaced with numbered pages. All other formats will be disqualified.
