Texas A&M Economics  PhD Program 2025

The Texas A&M University Economics Department is now accepting applications for its esteemed PhD program.

Each year, around 200 applications are received for the PhD program, and 10-15% are admitted. The Department awards an average of 12 assistantships in each first-year PhD class. These assistantships include a monthly stipend, a tuition waiver, and a health insurance package. Assistantships are renewable each year for five years as long as the student remains in good standing in the department.
