CALL FOR ENTRIES: POETICALLY WRITTEN PROSE CONTEST 2022

The Poetically Written Prose Contest is a yearly project organized by the Glass Door Initiative of Poets in Nigeria (PIN). The contest is aimed at discovering extraordinary prose works decorated with the elements of poetry.

The 6th edition of the Poetically Written Prose Contest opens for submission between 2nd July 2022 and 2nd August 2022. Writers across the globe are hereby invited to submit enchanting prose works embellished with poetic devices, in what is being tagged –

1st Prize ─ ₦50,000
2nd Prize ─ ₦30,000
3rd Prize ─ ₦20,000

GUIDELINES

1. No specific theme, but submissions must be poetically written.
2. Word count: 300 ─ 500 words
3. All entrants are expected to purchase the 5th edition of the Poetically Written Prose Anthology which goes for N1,000 only.
4. To purchase an anthology, entrants can use either of the below payment systems:

i. Entrants automatically receive the anthology once they pay through this link.

ii. Entrants can transfer N1000 to Poets in Nigeria | 0759986028 | Access Bank and receive an anthology through email.

5. All receipts of payment must be submitted alongside entry.
6. Entries should be pasted on the body of the mail (attachments are not allowed).
7. Submissions should be headlined: “POETICALLY WRITTEN PROSE” and must not be used as the title of the submission.
8. Any submission without an independent title will be voided.
9. One entry per participant.
10. Submissions should include receipt of payment, a brief biography, photograph, and contact information (name, email address, and phone number)
11. All entries must be original works of authors and NOT PREVIOUSLY PUBLISHED.
12. Any submission found to have been previously published will be voided.

NOTE: Submission of an entry is an explicit approval for Glass Door Initiative to use any work as may deem appropriate. Authors would be duly acknowledged.
