2022 Australian Government Research Scholarship for International Students
The Australian Government Research Training Program Stipend Scholarship provides a living allowance of AUD $28,854 (2022 rate, indexed annually) per annum; paid as a fortnightly stipend. Relocation, sick leave and parental leave provisions also apply.

The Australian Government RTP International Fee Offset Scholarship is designed for international applicants and offered during Griffith’s Continuous Scholarship Round.
The RTP International Fee Offset Scholarship is a full fee paying scholarship and matches the value of the fees charged by the enrolment Element.
Scholarship Requirements:
To be considered for the scholarship, you must:
- Be international applicants who are commencing or enrolled in a research program
- Not be in receipt of an equivalent award or scholarship from the Commonwealth Government (that is designed to offset research program tuition fees).
- Meet the requirements of your program
Scholarship Duration and Reward
Fee Offset
The fee offset provided by the scholarship removes the liability of the awardee to pay the program tuition fees for the tenure of the award.
RTP Allowances
The following ancillary costs of undertaking the HDR program are provided for under the terms of this scholarship:
- the cost of a standard Overseas Student Health Cover policy which covers the candidate and dependents (if any) for up to 42 months; and
- the Student Services and Amenities Fee for which the scholarship recipient would otherwise, be liable during the tenure of the scholarship.

To apply, you must follow the process for submitting an online application for a research program, which also includes a section for scholarship application.
Current research candidates are required to follow a different process for submitting a scholarship application.
Applicants may only apply a maximum of two times in a five-year period for consideration in the scholarship ranking and selection process.
