The University of Pisa DSU Scholarship is a fully-funded scholarship program covering the full tuition fees and sufficient living stipends of selected applicants.

The University of Pisa is currently offering full scholarships to qualified domestic and international students to study in Italy.

Scholarship Details:

The scholarship is also open to students planning to enroll or already enrolled in a Degree program at the University of Pisa, if they do not already have a qualification of the same level of education.

The scholarship of the DSU Toscana is a benefit that entitles the winners to a monetary share that varies in relation to the economic condition and the condition of student on-site, commuter and off-site (the latter determined by the origin and the travel times of public transport necessary to reach the location of the course of study).

Scholarship Eligibility

Students regularly enrolled for the attainment of their first degree in bachelor’s, master’s degree, research doctorate and specialization schools of the Universities of Florence, Pisa and Siena and of other Higher Institutes, Academies of Fine can participate in the competition.

To participate in the competition it is necessary to complete the application through the appropriate online procedure.

The deadline for submitting the application is set by 1.00 pm on 6 September 2022 for students enrolled or who intend to enroll in three-year, master’s and single-cycle degree courses.

Scholarship Requirements:

To be considered for the scholarship, you must:

1. Be planning to enroll or are already enrolled in a Degree program at the University of Pisa, if you do not already have a qualification of the same level of education.
2. Submit all documents, translated into Italian language
3. Students from EU countries have to fill in a specific declaration, which can be downloaded at the end of the online application procedure.

Scholarship Duration and Reward

A DSU scholarship includes;

• free accommodation
• free meals at the University dining halls
• contribution to cover extra expenses (sporting activities, books, etc.)
• exemption from University tuition fees and is renewable every year.`

Scholarship winners and eligible non-winners have free access to the catering services of the DSU Toscana and, if they are off-site and have requested it, they are entitled to accommodation (within the limits of the Company’s availability) free of charge for winners and at the rate of 250 euros per month for eligible non-winners.

Winning and non-eligible students are also entitled to exemption from the regional tax for the right to university study.

Required Documents

To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;

• Application Form
• Document certifying the family economic status
• Copy of a valid identity document.

EU students

Students from EU countries have to fill in a specific declaration, which can be downloaded at the end of the online application procedure.

• Non-EU students from developing countries

Students coming from Non-EU developing countries have to certify that they do not belong to a high income and high-status family. This certificate must be released by one of the following institutions:

• Italian diplomatic representatives in the home country;
• Diplomatic representative body (Embassy or Consulate) of the country of origin in Italy.
• Please remember that the certificate has to be legalised by the Italian Prefettura.

• Other Non-EU students

Students are required to submit all documents, translated into Italian language and legalized by the competent Italian diplomatic representatives of the home country, or according to the international provisions on legalization related to:

• family status;
• income;
• real estate;
• movable assets.

Method of Application

To participate in the competition it is necessary to complete the application through the appropriate online procedure . The application can be submitted even if the student is not enrolled yet. The grant is valid for only one academic year. Therefore, students have to repeat the application each academic year.

Foreign students (with income abroad) who wish to access the services offered by the DSU (Scholarship, Services Scholarship, Grant for Disabled Students, Extraordinary Contribution, Subsidised Canteen Prices, etc.) are requested to apply online, print the receipt available in their personal area and send it following the instructions provided by the admission call, attaching a document certifying the family economic status together with a copy of a valid identity document.
