    Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    To be eligible for the program, applicants must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Be between 18 and 30 years old on the closing date for applications<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Be a citizen of a WTO member country<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Not be currently affiliated with the WTO or have a relative who is currently WTO-affiliated<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Demonstrate a good level of written and spoken English (knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Show a willingness to respect diverse perspectives, foster understanding of trade issues, and promote constructive dialogue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Selected Young Trade Leaders will have the opportunity to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Attend an in-person one-day training program at the WTO in Geneva<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Contribute to and\/or coordinate a session at the Public Forum 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Benefit from existing WTO training programs<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Receive advice and mentoring from the WTO Secretariat<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Get support when organizing WTO-related activities in their home countries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Application Process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        To apply, candidates must submit the following to YTL@wto.org <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        • A CV (no more than two pages)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • A 2-3 minute video introducing themselves, expressing their interest in the program, and explaining the impact they hope to have as a Young Trade Leader<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • A written contribution (max. 300 words) answering the question: “What does trade mean for you?”<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          Selection Process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

          The WTO Secretariat will review all applications, and short-listed applicants will be invited to an interview in July 2024. Selected leaders will not receive remuneration but will be invited to travel to Geneva to participate in the 2024 WTO Public Forum in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
