The Carrington Fellowship program is a community-based one-year-long professional development program for entry to mid-level professionals. Fellows develop core leadership, communication and programs management skills, improve their network, and get mentored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who is eligible to apply?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Applicants will not be discriminated against on the basis of gender, religion, socioeconomic status, or disability. The Carrington Fellowship program is open to all Lagos-based Nigerians who meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Are between the ages of 21 and 35 on or before the application deadline;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Are Nigerians who live in Lagos, Ogun, and Oyo States;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Are proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Are not alumni of the Carrington Fellowship.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Are available to participate in the one-year long program in Lagos, Nigeria.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
What are the criteria for selection?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
The following criteria will be used to evaluate applications (not in order of importance):<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
A proven record of leadership in your community<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
A demonstrated commitment to public or community service, volunteerism, or mentorship;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
The ability to work cooperatively in diverse groups and to respect the opinions of others;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Strong social and communication skills;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
An energetic, positive attitude;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
