This scholarship program is designed to support students who are facing significant socio-economic barriers and demonstrate leadership potential, a commitment to community service, and academic excellence.

Scholarship Benefits

Eligibility Requirements for 2024 Wuhan University Chinese Government Scholarship

To be considered for the Wuhan University Chinese Government Scholarship, you must:

• be a citizen of non-Chinese nationality from the Belt and Road Initiative related countries and in good health both mentally and physically.
• be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for master’s programs
• be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for doctoral programs
• have acquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 4 when applying for Chinese- taught master’s or doctoral programs; Applicants who have passed HSK Level 5 or above can apply for major study directly, and those who have passed the HSK Level 4 can apply to take Chinese language courses for one year first, then move on to the major study after meeting the requirement. Those who have used Chinese as the language of instruction to obtain a degree in a Chinese university are not required to provide proof of the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK), but must provide a proof of the Chinese language of instruction
• provide a report of English Language Test when applying for English-taught master’s or doctoral programs (TOEFL 80+/IELTS 6.0+). Those who cannot offer the above-mentioned standard English test result can provide a proof of their previous studying at an institution where the teaching language is English, and will be required to take additional oral or written English test organized by Wuhan University. The Canon Collins Trust invites interested students to apply to study for the Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma and/or the Master of Laws (LLM) by distance learning at the University of London in 2023.

Applicants can start at any level, and do not need to complete the whole programme. For example, applicants can start at Postgraduate Certificate level and work their way through to the LLM, or can stop after completing the PG Certificate.

Applicants who have completed an LLB degree may start at LLM level, skipping the PG Certificate and Diploma.

Scholarship Requirements:

In order to be eligible for a scholarship, applicants must be in possession of the necessary qualifications required for admission to the programme.

Scholarship Requirements

Canon Collin’s Trust requires applicants for this scholarship to be:

• normally resident in one of these countries
• in possession of the necessary qualifications required for admission to the programme
• currently employed in full or part-time work;
• able to commit a minimum of 10 hours to study per week.

Scholarship Duration and Reward

These scholarships are made possible by the generosity of University of London International Programmes which shall waive full tuition and examination entry fees for four scholarship recipients.

Scholarship recipients have between 1 to 5 years to complete the qualification. However recipients are required to complete at least two modules per year.
